REPORTING FOR DUTY: WHAT YOU WON’T SEE ON PBS
The following series of posts contains material taken from a 2009 interview conducted in Tel Aviv for an episode of NOW on PBS, titled “Inside Israel’s Army”. The episode adapted FilmAt11′s original documentary, Reporting For Duty, which dealt with the experiences and opinions of three Israeli Defense Force reserve officers who served in and were profoundly affected by the 2006 Lebanon War.
RONEN HERSHKOVITZ is an actor living in Tel Aviv. In addition to acting gigs, teaches drama at a high school, volunteers with a humanitarian organization, and, when necessary, serves as a medic in a reserve IDF unit.
